Hey guys! How is summer going? We just got back from summer with our first talk after the break. Last week we attended Campus Party Europe in Berlin. It’s always great to go back to Berlin, but the Campus Party was amazing. For starters, the venue was impressive. It was held at the Tempelhof airport. Not only it was massive, but an integral part of European history. Another of the unexpected surprises was the affluence and quality of the audience. I was a speaker at Campus Party two years ago, just when Campus Party started making a big push towards adding conference tracks to the gaming event. It was such a new move that most of the talks were understaffed or putting it bluntly, no one came to the talks. I was a little queezy about the talk this time because of the same reason but the notion that it was Germany, not Spain and the reassurance of some friends that had talked the day before got me at ease. That said, I wasn’t expecting the massive attendance we got at the talk. The stage was packed, with people standing up at the back of the stage, so thank you all of you that came to the talk, really appreciated!
Here is the recording of the talk and the slides. I must say, they talk is ok considering I had a stomach flu and was literally twisting in pain. You can actually see how I gradually get better and better throughout the talk. The slides also surprised me. Granted I devoted time to design them, but I never expected them to be trending on Slideshare, so thanks a lot too!
